SharePoint Health Analyzer monitors the farm by applying a set of health rules It alerts you about the issues and the locations where they occurred, the cause and how to resolve these issues  to keep SharePoint environment in normal condition. The category of the health rules are: availability, configuration, performance, security and system. In some cases the Health Analyser itself can repair the issue and inform the SharePoint administrator about it. To configure health rules by using Central Administration ·  Verify that the user account that performs this procedure is a member of the Farm Administrators group. ·  Go to Central Administration>Monitoring>Health Analyzer>   Review rule definitions>  click the rule that you want to configure.
